2012 Campaign Marketing Challenge

Hello everyone, I just sent this email out to all of our division marketing teams and encouraged them to start thinking inbound in 2012.  Thought you might like to see/use:===== Happy New Year, Marketers! My professional New Years Resolution for 2012 is to always be encouraging all the marketers at Hobsons to push outside our comfort zones and think about how we can move toward being an INBOUND marketing organization vs. OUTBOUND (more to come on this at my presentation in Nashville.)  Take a look at this article, and give some thought to  all the different channels you haven't yet tried. (Keep in mind that Eloqua landing pages are a fantastic place to drive responses from all the various channels and track results in a central location.) http://www.contentmarketinginstitute.com/2011/08/content-marketing-technology/.  To emphasize our dedication to this movement, the Marketing Automation team is happy to announce we will be hosting the "Hobsons Campaign Marketing Challenge"  ====================== 2012 CAMPAIGN MARKETING CHALLENGE (Q2) The Marketing Automation team will be judging all the campaigns executed by all the different customer-facing (not student-facing) marketing teams during the second quarter  (January – March) and selecting a winner of the first annual "Campaign Marketing Challenge." We will be judging on three criteria: 1.  Established metrics to measure campaign success prior to campaign kickoff2.  Use of both inbound and outbound tactics in a single campaign (you can take baby steps here – no need to try everything at once)3.  Net new leads generated (brand new people entering the database for the first time) The winning campaign/team will be featured in an article on hiWire and the winning team will receive a group lunch on the MA team at the restaurant of your choice. Who knows – there may even be a traveling "trophy" involved  Happy campaigning! We look forward to seeing some new an innovative ideas come through and we are happy to consult with you on the best ways to use Eloqua to achieve your campaign goals. Sarah
Love this idea Sarah.  Making people think about tracking their campaign results/metics is a great way for them to get the MA team involved and get more use and value out of Eloqua.  Thanks for sharing.

Job Opportunity - Online Marketing (San Francisco / Palo Alto)

Infer is looking for an online marketer to own media planning and buying, campaign management, website analytics and infrastructure, SEO, and marketing automation. It is an exciting role because of its breadth and potential impact. We’re off to a good start at Infer, but an experienced online marketer will be able to harvest a lot of low hanging fruit and help us reach tens of thousands of companies. In this role there will also be opportunities to develop thought leadership. We’ve seen some exciting examples of customers using the Infer Score to create a common decision framework across channels. They’re optimizing spend based on “good customer” vs. clicks or conversion. Infer has attracted some of the fastest growing companies on the planet and we’re forming a community of innovative, data driven marketers. We want to hire someone who is going to be at the heart of this community. 4+ years experience in online marketing for a high tech companyBachelor’s degree or equivalentData driven, innovative, and a really good generalistSelf-starter capable of working autonomously and collaborativelyProven track record of managing advertising platforms, analytics, and automationAn eye for design is a plus because you’ll work closely with the creative teamStrong written communication skills (blogging) is a big plusAbility to engage with customers and promote the community is also a big plus About InferInfer is revolutionizing B2B sales and marketing by helping companies predict which prospects will go on to become great customers. We’ve seen incredible growth and are signing up best-of-breed customers like AdRoll, Box, New Relic, Tableau, Zendesk and many others. Our goal is to create predictive apps that drives significant business value, and scale them to thousands of B2B companies. While we’re known for lead scoring that actually works; our customers are applying Infer’s unique insights to all kinds of sales and marketing programs including SEM, Nurture, Events, Segmentation, and SLAs. We’re convinced that this category will be as big as marketing automation. The ease of implementation, the time-to-value, and the fact that we have statistical models to prove ROI, make it a home run initiative. Those companies who are first to adopt this exciting new technology have an unfair competitive advantage over those who don’t.
Want To Learn More If you’re interested in this opportunity, here are some additional resources to dig into. During the interview process we want your feedback on what we’re doing well and where you’d prioritize your energy over the first 90 days. If you can we’d also love to see samples of your work. In many cases it’s hard to show off what’s behind the curtain, but if you have best practice presentations, blog posts, or a sample campaign; that stuff is very helpful. Company HistoryTeam/InvestorsOverview DemoSolutionsAdRoll Success StoryInfer FAQsSetting Up InferInterview with Vik Singh, CEOWhat Will CRM look like in 2015? To apply for this job, please send a link to your LinkedIn profile and a couple samples of your work to jgrenney [at] infer [dot] com.
