Calling Oracle CRM on demand Webservices from Oracle cloud deployed web-app - Cloud Resource Model API(Archived)

Hi,
Oracle cloud deployer is not allowing to use HttpUrlConnection API. What the alternative for this ?
I get error in whitelist log : Type java.net.HttpURLConnection not allowed.
Please help resolving the issue, if we have any alternative for above API which cloud hosting allows.

Could you mind referring this question to Oracle CRM on Demand? Experts there may be able to address the current webservice supports.

Cloud Financials WSDL on ICS not working

Hello Everyone So some more queries. Sorry I dont have the SR access yet and I feel some of these I might be missing some simple things so raising these here I have a Fusion financials install which I am trying to create a connection on the Trial ICS cloud instance that I have access to. I am using an ERP Cloud Adapter for setting up the connection The following URL Connects just fine https://xxxx.oraclecloud.com/publicFinancialCommonErpIntegration/ErpIntegrationService?WSDL But any of the below just don't work within ICS. I am able to access them from the browser and from SOAP UI but unable to use them for a connection setting https://xxxx.oraclecloud.com/finLeLegalEntitiesModel/LegalEntityService?WSDL  https://xxxxoraclecloud.com/finGlDesktopEntry/JournalImportService?WSDL  Any inputs would be a great help. ThanksGary
Hi Gary, When you say that it doesn't work within ICS, do you receive an error message?Have you already imported the SSL certificates for your ERP Cloud instance (under the Administration tab)? If not, there are some pointers in the docs which might help... Best of luck!Cheers,Jon

401 error when calling a REST ARI endpoint

Hello, We have a requirement where we have to access Human Resources Cloud via its REST API.I went through the documentation here but all my REST calls are returning 401 error. Can anyone point me to the right direction on how to access the REST api, is there any setup or prerequisites i should check to use cloud REST calls? Thanks
AFAIK the REST services for Oracle HCM are not enabled by default - you need to contact Oracle Support to get them turned-on.
Thank you Shay for the reply, Is it a matter of contacting Oracle support to turn the functionality on and allow REST calls to pass through or i also need to purchase a license for that?i was doing research on the topic and came across "Oracle Database Exadata Express Cloud Service" that provides REST data service, Does this have anything to do with my case?  Thanks
It's not a licensing issue - it is a matter of the services being in controlled availability.Oracle SaaS wouldn't let you use REST services directly from the database, since there is a layer of logic that you need to through.

Yes you can do what you above have mentioned. For the details regarding installing, configuring and creating the RESTful Web Services you have to go the video series which crisply explains it:Oracle REST Data Services Learn More (check the Videos section, there is official Oracle YouTube channel for ORDS)For getting more of the detailed information about ORDS you have go through documentation for the details:https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E56351_01/index.htm Hope this helps! Regards,Kiran
You have two primary methods:rolling your own services - that at the end of the day run SQL or PL/SQL that you writeusing our AUTO feature, which can be used to get a full CRUD REST API for a table or view, and soon includes RPC for PL/SQL  oracle.com/rest has links to videos, tutorials, etc

Can you let me know how I can check if ORDS is configures with Oracle EBS Database. From the screenshots it seems there is APEX/EBS application to manage this Web Service API for EBS.Depending upon the ORDS version you are using (if ORDS 3.0) then you can use following to validate ORDS installation/configuration:Refer: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E56351_01/doc.30/e56293/installing-REST-data-services.htm#GUID-B5E03BA7-8F8B-49F0-B234-417BC8…  Regards,Kiran
Hi Kiran, Thanks for update, here is EBS Application in instance i'm working upon, not sure about APEX. We have got client EBS instance where we need to check Whether REST Services are deployed on EBS  instance (Ver 12.1.3)  If we have integrated Service Gateway Responsibility and Standard API's have option of Deploying REST Services is that enough or anything else need to check in EBS Instance if REST Services are applied or not. Will check on ORDS Installation/configuration based on link given by you. Regards,Kamalakar.G
responsibility name is Integrated SOA Gateway
Try running the below and see if you still notice that errorUse the following command to deploy it:$FND_TOP/bin/txkrun.pl -script=CfgOC4JApp -applicationname=pcapps -oracleinternal=Yes -oc4jpass=welcome -runautoconfig=No Bounce oacore and oafm

Fusion Integration to BICS with SSO Implementation ?

Hi Experts,  I am looking for the feasibility of fusion integration to BICS along with SSO Implementation. I am aware that the Integration of Fusion with BICS is possible using "Page Integration" in fusion. However, in this case I need to maintain an existing BICS connection(cached) in the same session. Is it possible to implement SSO between fusion and BICS ? If so could you please provide me any related document for the same ? Thanks,Kaviraj.
Don't have documentation but whatever you do:BICS has to be in the same Identity Domain as the Fusion Cloud. If it's not: request a migration. Putting every Cloud Service in the same Identity Domain gives everybody just 1 useraccount and provides you with SSO across Services. It worked for us on many Cloud Services. If it's impossible to put Fusion and BICS in the same Identity Domain the only option remaining would be an IAM solution. You would probably need something like Identity Cloud Service.Look over there for such integration documentation.
Hi Hasso,  Thanks for your detailed explanation on this. The integration has been completed with SSO. Hence the thread can be closed. Thanks for your help !! Thanks,Kaviraj.

Oracle Fusion Data Integration FBDI vs Web Service

Hi All,We are implementing Oracle Fusion ERP. OP system is required to integrate with Oracle Cloud application. We are thinking about to use FBDI or web service to do it. Do you any one know which one is better? As I know some of the web service API has size limit which FBDI seems not. Our approach is OP system => Oracle SOACS => Oracle Fusion Application  For FBDI, we are still use the web service UploadFiletoUCM to upload the csv file. Regards
Hi To implement specific solution cannot decided in forum discussion. It depends by particular applications need to be integrated, business analysis, knowledge, available resources , etc For better understanding, please review:https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/financials/r13-update17d/oefbf/toc.htm https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/financials/r13-update17d/oeswf/toc.htm Using External Data Integration Services for Oracle ERP Cloud (Doc ID 2102800.1) Thanks,MihaiF
