Requested url http://192.168.0.215:8080/apex/ is not allowed. - ORDS, SODA & JSON in the Database

I have installed Oracle Apex on one host (192.168.0.212) AND Oracle Apex Listener (on Tomcat6.0.28) on other host (192.168.0.215). How can I resolve the following issue with Oracle Apex Listener: "Requested url http://192.168.0.215:8080/apex/ is not allowed"?

Try http://192.168.0.215:8080/apex/apex there was an issue but I thought it was fixed.

Hello,
i was installed apex in r12 environmentYou mean EBS R12, right? How/where did you deploy APEX Listener to?
but i am getting error 503 service unavailable in apex listener by standalone installation in linux for Standalone Mode means you've started APEX Listener next to your EBS deployment. Did you make sure port 8080 hasn't been used by any of your EBS components before?
If so, please post the console output you get from startup up to the moment you receive the 503. There should be some clues in there.
also get this error 404 service unavailable in apex listener by standalone installation in linux for
http://testnode1ebs:8080/apexAs long APEX Listener hasn't been configured, this URL won't work. But I'd expect a different error message, which makes me think you have a port conflict there. Do you know which service is actually issuing the 404?

Glassfish does not connect via APEX Listener to APEX workspace

Oracle APEX 4.1.1
APEX Listener 1.0.2
Oracle 11gR1 database
Linux RHEL 5.4
Glassfish 3.0.1
-----------------------------
Configured Glassfish to connect to APEX using the APEX Listener but when configuring APEX Listener and when I try to connect I get this error:
Error     ERR-1014 Application not found.
          application=4500 workspace=10
Does the APEX Listener need to connect to a workspace or schema that has a pre-existing application? Any ideas on what the error may be?
Please advise and thanks.
Hi user601798 ,
Oracle APEX 4.1.1APEX Listener 1.0.2
Oracle 11gR1 database
Linux RHEL 5.4
Glassfish 3.0.1
>
That happens to be a rather old version of ApexListener. I would recommend try 1.1.4 on the same stack, you will benefit from the bug fixes.

ApexListener does not need any workspace. However, the error you are getting is for application 4500 which is the Application Builder which implies that either Apex is not installed or inaccessible.
a. Is Apex_public_user unlocked?
b. Is the configuration of ApexListener, especially the JDBC part, correct?
c. Is Apex accessible using any other webserver, e.g. EPG?
Take at look at the server.log file of GF in the logs folder of the domain in which you have configured ApexListener. You may find the details of the error in it.
Cheers.

APEX Listener started but no page load

I am trying to trouble shoot what could have gone wrong.
I installed Oracle Database XE on local and saw that I could run APEX from Get Started. This ran and I created APEX forms on localhost:8080/apex.
Then I installed APEX 1.1.4. Now localhost:8080/apex stopped working
Then I installed APEX listener and it took me to listenerConfigure but it gave me page error at localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigure
Then I ran APEX listener again on port 8081 and it says that http://localhost:8081/apex started.
However localhost:8081/apex/listenerConfigure does not connect localhost:8081/apex/apex_admin does not connect.
Any idea where I am going wrong.
Hi user635494,
I am trying to trouble shoot what could have gone wrong.I installed Oracle Database XE on local and saw that I could run APEX from Get Started. This ran and I created APEX forms on localhost:8080/apex.>
This the built-in Embedded PL/SQL Gateway(EPG) that is enabled by default on XE.

Then I installed APEX listener and it took me to listenerConfigure but it gave me page error at localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigure Very obvious with above input I hope. You have a port conflict. Both ApexListener and EPG are trying to access port 8080.

Using the port 8081 fixed the port conflict. But what about the images folder?
See the About Standalone Configuration Options section of the installation guide, pay special attention to the -Dapex.images and -Dapex.home options.
